Selection
Psychological assessment, candidate selection
Our colleagues construct a coherent picture of the personality of the candidate during a structured process. This starts with the gathering of requirements and the description of the position. Then comes the structured interview and different tests (intelligence tests, personality tests, etc.). After the evaluation of the tests, the candidate will receive a feedback on his / her results. Our colleagues will also give suggestions on organisational and individual development opportunities.
The goal of the assessment is to reveal the motivation, career aspirations and competencies of the candidate.
With the help of this method, our clients may employ individuals whose capabilities and competencies are already known at the time of their employment. Their potentials and reserves are also properly measured; their competencies can be developed on basis of the assessment according to the needs of the position and also they can prove themselves in different situations.
Graphology
Graphology, also called the analysis of handwriting, can be best used for the pre-selection of a huge amount of candidates or as a supplement to the normal selection.
The process is similar to that of the psychological assessment, that is, we first survey the client requirements and clarify the target of the analysis. Then we receive the handwriting sample from the candidate (it can also be handed in, in case he / she cannot be personally present). Our colleagues prepare the analysis, after which a comprehensive picture of the personality is constructed. The candidate will also receive a feedback in this phase.
In our opinion, it is worth supplementing the selection process with these techniques, because it can reveal characteristics which are difficult to access with other methods. These are: reliability, loyalty and commitment or evenness.
Assessment / Development Centre
In case our clients request to select or evaluate the potentials and manager eligibilities of their (future) employees in the most creditable and the most objective way, and at the same time in a company- and job-specific way, we always propose to them to use an Assessment / Development centre.
During the preparation phase of the AC, we – together with the client – define the list of the capabilities and competencies to be assessed. Then, on the basis on the requirements, we enlist exercises (tests, role plays, etc.) and determine the evaluation aspects. Finally, evaluators are prepared for the AC. As soon as the AC is over, all participants receive a feedback on their performance that defines their strengths and weaknesses.
Coaching (Individualised Management Skill Development)
What is coaching?
Coaching is the name of a complex methodology, when the coach works with his / her coachee in a tailor-made manner. This service – at least in Hungary – is still mainly used by managers, although it can help (almost) everyone. We work on the strengthening of the clients’ capacities and the elimination of his / her difficulties during the coaching process. As everyone is different, there are situations which are easily solved by some and there are situations, which can not be worked out. The coach helps his / her client to make his / her strengths conscious and to build awareness in the areas where he / she might need outer help. We strive to reach instant, if possible, even measurable change during the coaching process, that is, to have a Result of our work.
When to consider coaching?
It is wise to think of employing coaching in any situation, when the individual is before or in a change. It can also be a possible way out if a task or the solution of a situation takes more time or causes more stress than expected. Such typical situations are: promotion, the need for some management skills, the demand for a new skill, the loneliness of the manager, and preparation for future management roles. It is also useful during cultural change (expat managers in Hungary or Hungarian managers abroad), re-integration after maternity leave, during business or organisational changes, and in burn-out or in the introduction / integration period.
And when not to?
Of course, coaching is not an almighty solution. If the individual has some knowledge deficiency, or our aim is to teach, and make him / her accept or use some system-like knowledge, we should use trainings, consultancy or other forms of education.

How does it happen?
The coaching process consists of coaching sessions. One session is 90-120 minutes long; the whole process usually includes 8-10 sessions. The coach and the coachee meet maximum once a week, but at least once a month. The series of the sessions most often do not exceed the period of six months. We use different methods during the sessions, our clients will do role plays, visualisation, discussion or even shadow coaching.
